We sent two designers Up North for the big annual designerfest in the woods. Turns out, they didn’t really need all that cool stuff we got ‘em from REI since Design Camp isn’t technically camping – although the Eno came in handy for getting things started off on an awkward foot. (Hi. Wanna sit in my hammock?) The keynoters were particularly riveting, leaving the predictably beanied crowd thinking about being full-on Idea People vs simply designers, rethinking process, understanding the power of experimentation, and mastering the art of pronouncing Leta Sobierajski’s last name. (Special badge for that one.)
Famers join the AIGA Design Camp ritual, geeking out over hand-lettered fonts and getting all handsy with new paper stock.
